Walk around the ponds

Ville-d’Avray is a calm and lush green little village. Only 15 minutes from Paris, it is the ideal location to relax for a weekend or a simple getaway.
The ponds, made famous in Corot's paintings, dot a valley bordering the Forêt de Fausses Reposes. It was on the banks of the Vieil Étang (Old Pond), the wildest of the ponds, that the landscape painter liked to paint in a modest cabin (a commemorative monument stands in its place).
The pathway along the banks and the dyke, a favourite among anglers and walkers, is the perfect invitation to get away from it all amid a bucolic environment.

Cycling, walking and jogging

Escape a world of hustle and bustle, and explore the exceptional surroundings of the Forêt de Fausses-Reposes, right on the doorstep of the hotel. Covering 631 hectares, it was a hunting ground for the kings residing at Versailles and Saint-Cloud, with the hunting lodge built under Louis XV being a testimony to this history. It can be accessed by the Ceinture Verte Ouest de l'Ile-de-France trail (Western Ile-de-France Green Belt), which connects the meandering Seine, Boulogne-Billancourt and Bougival.

It’s the perfect place to go jogging, walking or cycling (the hotel can provide you with bikes free of charge).

Horse riding, tennis and golf

Just 5 km from our hotel, the Haras de Jardy complex offers numerous activities. At the heart of a 75 hectare estate between the forest and century-old stables, you’ll discover different sports facilities, including an equestrian centre, a pony club, tennis courts, and a 9-hole golf course.

Close to Les Étangs de Corot, you’ll be able to practice golf on a superb 18-hole course at the Golf de Saint-Cloud in Hauts-de-Seine, or at the Golf de Feucherolles in Yvelines.
